Verizon Wireless and Google Developing Mobile Android

Google-Verizon-Wireless-partnershipVerizon Wireless and Google have announced that they agreed to work together to develop mobile devices based on Android platform. Can be justified that this is a breakthrough for Google, to see Verizon serves more than 87 million consumers and is the largest service providers have joined Google. During a conference call, Google CEO, Eric Schmidt and Verizon Wireless CEO Lowell McAdam said that they had started talks on cooperation and a half years ago. Before deciding to work together, Google wants Verizon’s commitment to open source platforms. To illustrate their commitment, McAdam said Verizon will support Google Voice service management.

Under this partnership, Verizon Wireless and Google are planning to jointly develop a prototype based Android platform that will be filled with their own applications and third-party applications. Androin new mobile phone will have a 10,000 or even more applications that can be used.

Verizon Wireless and Google are planning to sign a cooperation contract in the weeks ahead, the announcement included Android mobile phone. Both companies said that they would give dala commitment to this project.
